You might be surprised to learn that we have a rather nice zoo, not too far away, in Waco. Cameron Park Zoo is a good-sized facility with some excellent exhibits. We thought a field trip would be fun, and best to pay a visit before it gets too warm.
Located at 1701 N 4th St in Waco, it’s a bit less than 90 minutes north of Round Rock. Admission fees are listed on their website.

Carpooling
Anyone interested in carpooling can meet at Round Rock Premium Outlets which is located along I-35 just north of University Blvd in Round Rock. Typically, back in the northeast corner, along Bass Pro Drive, parking is readily available. So let’s meet in that area (the corner where Adidas and Cap Factory are located) at 7:15, and head out by 7:30 or so.
The google shows some construction in Waco (surprise!), but it should not pose too much of a problem.
Communication
We now use a WhatsApp group to disseminate last minute information about rambles, or during the outing. You can choose to leave the group between events, or ignore any activity you do not attend.
