Some of you may be familiar with photographer and educator Jay Maisel of NYC who has taught and written on the importance of "gesture" as a photographic quality. "It’s about seeing. It’s about being surrounded by the ordinary and learning how to find the extraordinary. It’s about training your mind, and your eyes, to see and capture the world in a way that delights, engages, and captivates your viewers" Don showed many of his own photography to demonstrate the key principles.

Don Simpson has created and taught more than 40 unique Sun City Photography workshops, mentored hundreds of students and judged while serving in numerous leadership positions for the group. He recently became a member of NAPfS.
